cem yıldız- haydar haydar
“Haydar Haydar” is an Alevi folk poem composed by Ali Ekber Çiçek, one of the most important musicians in Turkey's history and it is also known as the most advanced song written for “Bağlama” instrument (the most common stringed instrument in Turkey). Cem Yıldız takes the cultural heritage of Ali Ekber Çiçek, the poet that he springs from to the same philosophical and musical roots, and transcribes for a new sound carrying his signature but also remaining authentic. The lyrics of “Haydar Haydar” depict an esoteric philosophy that Cem Yıldız, as a modern Troubadour, frequently renders in his music. Time is a flat circle and human proceeds towards sacred knowledge in the eternity of this existential loop.
