Thylacine
Thylacine is a fearless, experimental French multi-instrumentalist and producer known for his progressive sounds, melodramatic tunes, and fresh electronica.
He has developed a taste for composing through his travels, each album that followed has always been synonymous with his encounters and discoveries on the road. Combining music and imagery, Thylacine helps his listeners discover and navigate his very own world through his sonic journey.
For his fourth album, 9 Pieces, Thylacine has assembled a collection of tracks created over the past few years. These puzzle pieces take the listener on a journey from Norway’s frozen sea to the shores of the Bosphorus. His synthesizers are combined with traditional instruments, such as the saxophone, piano, flute, duduk, or saz, creating nine delicate, deep, wonderful, and oftentimes melodramatic pieces.
Anıl
Co-founder of jazzhane, Anıl believes that his search for melancholy in music and the perception of home (or the lack thereof) is a search for belonging: a feeling that can be fictitious. Unsurprisingly, his eclectic sets heavily feature music in the minor key. Believing that stories are told through music, Anıl blends melodramatic tunes with the Andalusian cadence, Rumba, or Cumbia, accompanied by deep basslines. Depending on the night and setting, the stories can be dark, joyful, ecstatic or humorous, oftentimes energetic and with explosive energy.
Melisa Su
Melisa Su Taşkıran is an actress, DJ, and producer from Ankara. Studying at the faculty of music and performing arts at Bilkent University, Melisa started out as a techno DJ in Ankara’s clubs, soon to be performing in clubs and festivals in Turkey’s largest cities İstanbul, Izmir, and Ankara. A resident DJ and music curator in Ankara’s nightlife, she played alongside Oliver Koletzki, Charlotte De Witte, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, or Sezer Uysal.
Her story takes her to another capital, this time to Switzerland, where she continued her studies at the Bern Academy of the Arts. Pursuing a dual career in acting and music production, she plays her DJ sets in Bern and performs at larger festival stages, such as Gurten, We Love Techno, or Sensebeschallung.
Her sets feature heavy bass lines where she blends different sub-genres including Acid and Detroit.
Mitanni
Serdar Mutlu, aka Mitanni, is an artist, DJ, and a graduate of the Zurich University of Arts (ZHdK). His music focuses on down-tempo Kurdish, Anatolian, and Mesopotamian deep-house. That's right, think of the finest sunset Organica from the east: this is where melodramatic tunes meet 4/4 deep-house basslines.
